Grasshoppers Competition Terms and Conditions 

1. Competition Overview: 1.1. The Grasshoppers Competition (hereafter referred to as “the Competition”) is hosted by Bolton Footwear (PTY) Ltd and will run from 1 October 2024 to 31 December 2024 (the “Competition Period”). 1.2. The Competition offers one winner a chance to win a jackpot prize of R250,000 (the “Prize”). 

2. Eligibility: 2.1. The Competition is open to all residents of South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Eswatini and Lesotho who are 18 years of age or older. 2.2. Employees, agents, Bolton factory outlets and representatives of Bolton Footwear (PTY) Ltd, participating retailers, and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter. 

3. How to Enter: 3.1. To enter the Competition, customers must: 3.1.1. Purchase a pair of Grasshoppers from any participating retailer during the Competition Period. 3.1.2. Retain the original till slip as proof of purchase. 3.2. Each qualifying purchase must be accompanied by a valid till slip to be considered an eligible entry. Only one entry allowed for each receipt. 3.3. Entries can be submitted by completing the following steps: 3.3.1 WhatsApp Submission: Send “Hi” via WhatsApp to 067 880 3140 to initiate your entry. You will then receive instructions to complete the online entry form, which must include a clear image of your valid till slip. 3.3.2 QR Code Submission: Scan the QR code available in-store to access the online entry form. Ensure you upload a clear image of your valid till slip. 

4. Entry Requirements: 4.1. The till slip must clearly show the date of purchase, the retailer’s name, and the product purchased. 4.2. Multiple entries are allowed, provided each entry is accompanied by a separate valid till slip. Multiple entries using the same till slip will result in disqualification.  

5. Selection of Winner: 5.1. The winner will be selected randomly from all valid entries. 5.2. The draw will take place on 31 January 2025. 5.3. The winner will be notified via email or phone call within seven (7) days following the draw and will be publicly announced on our social media platforms. 

6. Prize: 6.1. The Prize is a cash amount of R250,000. 6.2. The Prize is non-transferable. 

7. Claiming the Prize: 7.1. To claim the Prize, the winner must present the original till slip associated with the winning entry. 7.2. The Prize must be claimed within 14 days from the date of notification. 7.3. Failure to claim the Prize within the specified time may result in disqualification and a new winner being selected. 

8. Use of Participant Information: 8.1. By entering the Competition, participants consent to the collection, use, and processing of their personal information by Bolton Footwear (PTY) Ltd for the purpose of administering the Competition and communicating with them about the Competition. 8.2. Participants may be required to provide their name, contact details, and other relevant information. 

9. Publicity: 9.1. The winner agrees to participate in promotional activities related to the Competition and allows Bolton Footwear (PTY) Ltd to use their name, photograph, and likeness for marketing and advertising purposes without additional compensation. 

10. Disqualification: 10.1. Bolton Footwear (PTY) Ltd reserves the right to disqualify any participant or winner if they do not comply with these Terms and Conditions, if the till slip is found to be fraudulent or altered, or if any other form of non-compliance is detected. 10.2. In the event of disqualification, Bolton Footwear (PTY) Ltd may select an alternative winner. 

11. General Terms: 11.1. Bolton Footwear (PTY) Ltd reserves the right to amend or withdraw the Competition or these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. 11.2. The Competition and these Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa. 11.3. Any disputes arising from the Competition will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
